collaboration brandmark
Collaboration / 2011Brandmark / Print Design / Interactive Design

Collaboration is a new design company offering high-profile pieces for the landscape and the interior. These hand-made creations combine sculptural originality and functionality. Collaboration’s operations are entirely based in Vancouver, Canada, and supplies the trade throughout North America.

The essence of Collaboration may be found in its very name. For Collaboration, Louvre-trained sculptor Marie Khouri brings some of the exclusivity and sophistication of the art gallery to a context of conditionality and practicality familiar to Québec landscape designer Dave Demers, for a fertile if unlikely mélange.

The essence of the Collaboration brandmark is founded in its very name. Collaboration is a new design company comprising of horticulturist Dave Demers & Sculptor Marie Khouri that offers unique sculptural elements for the landscape and interior design use. The merging of these 2 disciplines is symbolized through the joining of the 2 halves of the circle in both the larger exterior container and within the interior circle. Font’s were chosen to exude the secondary brand attributes: elegance, sophistication, simplicity and structure.

cyan horticulture logo

CYAN Horticulture / 2010Brand Refresh

CYAN Horticulture is a dynamic, multi-faceted enterprise, which offers inclusive garden services to the discerning individual, as well as commercial and institutional clients. Based in Vancouver, Canada, with local and international projects, CYAN strives for creative excellence. CYAN offers design and consulting, as well as contracting and horticultural services. Never predictable and always site-specific, CYAN's projects range from single entry planters and extensive roof gardens to outdoor retail spaces and traditional mixed-borders.

The original version for this mark was text only. For the refresh the font was adjusted and the circle element was added. The idea behind the circle was to contrast the font and for its use as a representation of a tree in horticulture design layouts. This element of color can be expanded or contracted depending on the application.

le cube logo
Le Cube / 2010Brandmark

This brandmark was designed for an exhibit that centers around a plant container system that is comprised of smaller squares, rectangles and other tetris like shapes that when all assembled form a single large cube. I wanted a modular font but something that went past just basic square type to encompass the idea behind the project. I think the brandmark really captures that idea. After the project was complete I designed the full isometric font with 3 alternate angles.
caya logo

Caya / 2011Brandmark / Print Design / Interactive Design

The Caya logo has an unexpected look for a mobile brand, reflecting a mix of classic and modern. The wordmark was inspired by the style of many wellknown and respected high-end fashion brands. Meanwhile, the use of lowercase reflects the approachability and unpretentious luxury of the Caya brand.

Designed while working at Creative B'stro, Caya is a new mobile brand that focus' it's attention on the LGBTA Community.
A number of pieces were created for this project ranging from in store display, print & interactive design.

adventure center logo
Adventure Center / 2010Proposed Brandmark

This proposed logo design for Adventure Center was created while working at Creative B'stro.
Adventure Center is a North American based company specializing in world-class adventure travel at affordable prices.

With this mark I wanted to capture the spirt and energy of adventure travel, things you would see, touch and share. Color was key in conveying the emotion with simple shapes used to represent birds, fish, leaves, plants, waves, clouds and mountain peaks.
